Hikaru Shida is the quiet workhorse of the AEW women's division. While the division has faced some well-deserved criticism as it tries to find its footing, one thing most agree on is that Hikaru Shida has been involved in most of the division's best matches. That isn't a coincidence, and the audience has taken notice and seems to be behind her more and more with each passing week.

Britt Baker signed with AEW in January of 2019 and has been a prominent figure in their women's division ever since. Baker isn't just a professional wrestler; she works as a dentist in Orlando Florida on days she isn't traveling (and wrestling) with AEW.

Big Swole officially signed with AEW in late 2019 and has been a welcome addition to the women's division ever since. Big Swole is being featured more and more prominently since the new year and looks to make a bigger impact in the promotion as time progresses.

- AEW Championships: 1x AEW Women's World Champion (won on October 2nd, 2019)
Riho was the first-ever AEW Women's World Champion, winning the title by defeating Nyla Rose on the premiere episode of AEW Dynamite in October of 2019. Riho began training and made her pro wrestling debut at the age of nine. She wrestled extensively in Japan and other parts of Asia before signing to AEW.

Brandi Rhodes wrestles occasionally for AEW, as she is the company's Chief Brand Officer, as well as a valet for her husband Cody Rhodes's bigger matches. While she isn't frequently used as a wrestler, she is a very prominent figure in the company both on camera and behind the scenes.

Allie is a veteran wrestler who has appeared in various promotions all over the world. Her tenure in AEW so far has been primarily spent as the valet known as The Bunny for the tag team The Butcher and The Blade. She still gets in the ring from time to time, but appears to be more focused on helping her tag team contend for the AEW tag team titles.

Leva Bates was announced as signing with AEW in April 2019 and has appeared as part of the group The Librarians along with Peter Avalon. She hasn't won a lot of her matches since joining AEW, but her Librarian character does get a rise out of the crowd as she continued to be featured on all of AEW's shows.

Hailing from London, Sadie Gibbs signed with AEW in 2019, making her debut on All Out in August of the same year. Prior to joining AEW, Gibbs was known for wrestling in World Wonder Ring Stardom and British Empire Wrestling (BEW), and the Deutsche Wrestling Allianz, where she was DWA Ladies Championship.

Kris Statlander has been wrestling for less than three years and is already making waves. AEW signed her in the fall of 2019 and she has been in the women's title picture for most of 2020. Before she signed with AEW, there were rumors alleging to the fact that WWE had been trying to sway her over their side.

Mel made her AEW debut in December 2019, helping out Brandi Rhodes and Awesome in the Nightmare Collective. She's still on the AEW roster and makes appearances along with Dr. Luther. Before joining AEW, Mel has appeared in Shimmer and Supreme Wrestling Entertainment.

Awesome Kong has wrestled for many promotions over the course of her long and storied career. The dominant wrestler has won titles in just about every promotion she wrestled for and in 2008 was named the number female wrestler in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. She currently splits her time between AEW and filming the Netflix series GLOW.

- Real Name: Yuki Sakazaki
Yuki Sakazaki splits time between AEW here in the States and Tokyo Joshi Pro in Japan. Yuki is a fan favorite in both promotions due to her high flying offense and we will hopefully see more of her in AEW in the near future. Her finisher, Magical Girl Splash, is a rotating splash from the top rope.

- Real Name: Alexandra Barrulas
Shanna signed with AEW in 2019. Billed as "Portugal's Perfect Athlete," Shanna has mixed it up with most of the AEW roster since joining the company. Her wrestling persona is heavily inspired by video games and anime, with her finisher, Double Dragon, being a reference to the classic arcade game from the '90s. Before signing with AEW, she was a mainstay in the Germany-based wrestling circuit, Women Superstars Uncensored.

Emi Sakura has been wreslting for more than three decades. The crafty veteran appears in AEW competing against the rest of the women's division, sort of as a player-coach when in tag and singles matches for the younger members of AEW's women's roster. She even received a title shot against her former student Riho at the AEW Full Gear event in November of 2019.

Nyla Rose is the first transgendered professional wrestler to sign with a major U.S. promotion. She has been with All Elite Wrestling since it's inception and beat Riho for their women's world champion in February 2020.
