(#4) Snape Is Always Down To Stoop To A 13 Year Old's Level... Always
From Tumblr @scverussnape:
The funniest thing about Snape for me is that he’s ridiculously competent, but at the same time always ready to sink down to the same level of a 13 year old.
He’s competent, extremely so as a Head of House. Under him Slytherin had a six year winning streak despite the fact that he doesn’t award his own students one single point. His approval is entirely shown exactly by not discounting points. He’s not more biased towards his own than the other Heads, whenever he docks points it’s in small amounts (5 or 10 at a time, unless it’s serious things). His detentions are boring or grueling but never dangerous. He cares about his quidditch team enough to reservate the pitch for them in advance so they can train in peace.
On the other hand, he butts heads with Harry on the same level you’d expect for another teenager, by snipping and snarking, and barking his head off (but really, no bite, all bark). He’s petty in his choice of detentions, he needles when he sees the chance, among other things. I don’t remember him behaving like this with any other student (no, Neville doesn’t count, his treatment of him was never too different from the other Gryffindors except on the day he warned Lupin about him, but I’d wager this has more to do with Lupin than with Neville), so it might be that he really f*cking regresses when he’s near Harry because, y’know, he’s a mess and really needs a therapist.

(#3) Severus Snape Wears Black Because He's Always Been Grieving... Always
From Redditor u/gwynnie0811:
Severus Snape wears black because he’s grieving.

(#2) If Harry Was A Girl, Snape Would've Been A Completely Different Character
From Redditor u/R2BB8:
If Harry Potter was a girl and looked like Lily, Snape would have been a completely different character. He would have loved her, cared about her, and been just a nicer guy in general.

(#12) Why Did Snape Go So Hard On Neville?
From Tumblr @sparklssparklssparklssparkl:
People talk about how Snape might have cared for Harry, but I wanna know if Snape actually cared about Neville’s grades, or was he just being a d*ck because he wanted to?
Cause I feel like if he didn’t care, then he wouldn’t pay that much attention to Neville’s mistakes.

(#1) Snape And Lily's Final Scenes Are Eerily Similar
From Tumblr @severusdefender:
Severus and Lily's death scenes are remarkably similar. They were both begging Voldemort, but he has already made up his mind. Lily is literally standing in front of Harry trying to protect him with her body. Severus is metaphorically standing in front of Harry, trying to find a way to get to him before any death eater does. Lily is unarmed, and the only thing she can do is keep standing. Severus has a wand, but due to his role as spy, he can't duel Voldemort without effectively breaking his cover and losing any chance of protecting Harry effectively. Harry is present in both scenes to witness it. Lily and Severus' deaths gave Harry the ability to survive Voldemort's killing curse.

(#6) Snape Outlived His Bullies
From Tumblr @professionalfoodstalker:
Sometimes I like to remind myself that at the end of the day, Snape outlived all the people that tormented him in school so... guess who tf really won?
