(#9) Scapegoats And Azazel Go Hand-In-Hand
The biblical concept of a scapegoat is inseparable from Azazel. In the Book of Leviticus, High Priest Aaron had to put out two goats for the expiation of his sins.
Book 16 of Leviticus reads:
And he shall take the two goats, and set them before Jehovah at the door of the tent of meeting. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for Jehovah, and the other lot for Azazel.
And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for Jehovah, and offer him for a sin-offering. But the goat, on which the lot fell for Azazel, shall be set alive before Jehovah, to make atonement for him, to send him away for Azazel into the wilderness.
In later years, the High Priest put his hands on the goat for Azazel, cast the people's sins upon it, and sent it into the wilderness. Rabbis interpreted "Azazel" to signify the rugged mountain cliff where the scapegoat's casting occurred.

(#7) He'll Receive His Ultimate Punishment On Judgment Day
According to lore, Azazel will remain chained up on the rocks in the desert until Judgment Day. In the Book of Enoch, God told Raphael:
And on the day of the great judgment, he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the Earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the Earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons.
Though God banished all the other Watchers from Heaven, too, Azazel was the worst - God said, "To him ascribe all sin."

(#5) Azazel And The Watchers Gave In To Their Base Desires
Azazel and his fellow Watchers became a little too interested in the world of man. From the first Book of Enoch:
And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: "Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children."
The Watchers descended to Earth and claimed human lovers.

(#12) Azazel Also Has Links To The Jinn In Islam
In Islamic tradition, Azazel maintains a close link to the jinn, also known as genies. Azazel was once "of a race called the jinn," according to religious authorities. Like other jinni, Azazel/Iblis consists of fire.
When he refuses to bow down to Adam, per God's command, he claims it's because he's crafted of fire, and Adam is merely clay.

(#8) Azazel Allegedly Appears In All Abrahamic Religions
While details vary from faith to faith, Azazel allegedly appears in all Abrahamic religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In the Book of Leviticus, two selected goats served as sacrifices. One goat was a sacrifice for Yahweh, and the other was "for Azazel." Casted lots decided which goat went to which figure, and ultimately, the goat allocated to Azazel ended up sent out into the wilderness.
In Judaism, Azazel is supposedly the absolute embodiment of impurity. In Christianity, Azazel associates with Satan. Thus, he's evil personified, which Jesus Christ is to vanquish on Judgment Day. In Islam, Azazel is a companion to - or maybe an alias of - Iblis, and some consider the two as forms of Satan.

(#10) Azazel Inherited Abraham's Sins, While Abraham Got Azazel's Angelic Nature
The Apocalypse of Abraham concerns Abraham and Azazel, two seemingly disparate figures. But the patriarch and the ex-angel have more in common than we might think. When he dropped out of Heaven, Azazel metaphorically lost his cloak of purity and goodness. In the Apocalypse, Abraham inherits Azazel's angelic mantle.
The angel leading Abraham exclaims:
Shame on you, Azazel! For Abraham’s portion is in heaven, and yours is on the earth, for you have selected here, (and) become enamored of the swelling place of your blemish. Therefore the Eternal Ruler, the Mighty One, has given you a dwelling on earth.
