Drugs are strictly forbidden on most Christian campuses, and some schools take pretty dramatic measures to make sure students are staying drug free. Since 1988, Liberty University has had a policy that allows for random drug testing. Students’ hair, urine, or blood can be tested at any time. Students are sometimes selected randomly, but they may also be selected if the university has reason to believe they’re engaging in drug use.

There, men and women cannot be alone together in any secluded locations. In addition, any type of male/female touching is forbidden, both on and off campus. Men and women also have separate parking areas. Men are not allowed in the women’s parking lot and vice versa.

While students are not outright banned from using sites like Twitter and Facebook, their actions on such outlets are heavily regulated. Students must always write in the first person to make it clear they’re speaking for themselves and not the college. They also need to exercise extreme caution when talking about their experiences as a student, as New Hope is wary of negative content on social media regarding their campus. School officials keep a close eye on students’ social media profiles, and you could be reprimanded for revealing any behavior online that conflicts with the school’s values and codes of content.
