  (#9) Billy Corgan, Kurt Cobain, And Courtney Love

  In 1991, Courtney Love was involved with Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan when she wound up on a ferry with Nirvana as they returned from a Danish music festival. Corgan and the Pumpkins played the same festival, but the rockstar declined to front her an airline ticket, hence the ferry ride.

  Within months, Love dumped Corgan and got together with Kurt Cobain. The rest is twisted rock history. After Kobain's death, Corgan and Love would spar over her incorporating his music without permission, but, unpredictably, Corgan moved in with Love in 2006 and began professionally collaborating with her again. Apparently, that didn't end well.

  In 2010, Corgan publicly stated: “I have no interest in supporting her in any way, shape or form. You can’t throw enough things down the abyss with a person like that.”

  (#5) Marianne Faithful Swapped The Stones

  Anita Pallenberg wasn't the only woman to create her own personal soap opera within the Rolling Stones. Marianne Faithfull also started with Brian Jones but wound up as the official steady girlfriend of Mick Jagger.

  However, she stated that Jagger spent most of his energy either performing or chasing other women around, and by the time they settled into their home's four-poster bed, he typically preferred a book. She would also claim that throughout her relationship with Jagger, she was much more attracted to Keith Richards.

  Marianne Faithfull described sleeping with Richards as "the best night of my life." Jagger and Faithfull broke it off after four years, a miscarriage, and blatant promiscuity on Jagger's part.

  Faithfull descended into heroin addiction, unemployment, and ultimately homelessness, which culminated in several successful professional comebacks and re-inventions in the '80s and '90s.

  (#10) Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, And Carla Bruni

  Long before she crashed international political circles as the sophisticated wife of French President Nicholas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni was the 23-year-old fashion model girlfriend of Eric Clapton. Clapton introduced Bruni to his friend Mick Jagger at a party and regretted it immediately. He even requested that Jagger leave Bruni to him, to no avail.

  Within weeks, Jagger and Bruni were an item, and Clapton was disconsolate. But he wasn't as upset as Jagger's wife, Jerry Hall, who issued a divorce ultimatum over the relationship. Jagger temporarily placated his wife and broke it off but ultimately divorced Hall anyway.

  Of the relationship, Bruni eventually remembered: “It was a fling. I was in my twenties, so I wasn’t thinking about a relationship. There were so many other women with Mick. I don’t think I was responsible [for his split with Hall]... There were maybe ten other women.”

  (#3) David Bowie, Jimmy Page, And Lori Mattix

  Lori Mattix was 14 years old when she met David Bowie for the first time. As she described the meeting, which was during the infamous Ziggy Stardust tour: "he had hair the color of carrots, no eyebrows, and the whitest skin imaginable." At the time, Lori's father was deceased, and her mother had a night job that precluded adult supervision, so Lori was able to romp along the Sunset Strip instead of doing her homework.

  Bowie suggested that they adjourn to his hotel, but Lori wasn't quite ready, so she claimed she was there with another man. Several months later, Bowie had his security guard ring up Lori, by now 15, and had her and a friend driven to his suite at the Beverly Hilton. Once there, Lori lost her virginity and then wound up in a three-way with Bowie and her friend, Sable.

  Lori got a call from Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin requesting her to come and party at the Hyatt House on Sunset Boulevard a few weeks later. This was the hotel that routinely saw televisions and furniture hurled out of windows and banned its worst malefactor, Keith Moon. Laurie, nervous at the idea of picking up with another rock star so soon after her encounter with Bowie, kept her distance - for a while at least. 

  Later, at the Rainbow Bar, she was essentially captured by Zeppelin's manager Peter Grant and transported back to Page's room at the Hyatt. Page became so infatuated with Lori that he even asked her mother for permission to date her 15-year-old daughter. The two had a strong relationship until Mattix discovered Page cheating on her in a hotel suite with Bebe Buell.

  That kind of ended it for Lori as far as Page went, but she went on to a few trysts with Mick Jagger before heading into groupie retirement.

  (#11) Steve Winwood, Eric Burdon, Jim Morrison, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, And Linda McCartney

  Paul and Linda McCartney are remembered as having an idyllically romantic relationship that became a popular culture tragedy when Linda died prematurely from cancer in 1998. Paul, a previously notorious womanizer, seemed to settle down with the "lovely Linda" and enjoyed a life of domestic bliss.

  According to a biography written by Linda's close friend, she and Paul were open with one another about what they considered their "conquests." Sometimes, Linda even added names to hers of men she hadn't actually slept with.

  Regardless, some of the names on her list include Steve Winwood, Eric Burdon, Jim Morrison, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, and Warren Beatty.

  (#4) Todd Rundgren, Steven Tyler, And Bebe Buell

  Bebe Buell dated many high-profile rock musicians, including Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Jimmy Page, and Iggy Pop. Beginning in 1972, she entered into a relatively serious relationship with Todd Rundgren that would last until 1979.

  In 1976, she became pregnant and ultimately gave birth to a child she named Liv Rundgren. Here's the rub: Buell couldn't be sure that Rundgren was the father because, at the time, she had engaged in sexual activity with another famous musician: Steven Tyler.

  Although Rundgren and Buell's relationship dissolved shortly after Liv's birth, they maintained the facade concerning Liv's paternity until the girl was 11 years old. Over the years, Liv has remained close with Steven Tyler and Todd Rundgren, both of whom she considers her father.
