(#2) Poor Man's Big Mac
A regular Big Mac costs about $3.99, while the poor man's version will only run you $1.49. The only difference between the two? That pesky piece of bread in the middle! Which means you're paying about $1.50 for a slice of bun that you don't even really notice anyway!
It's basically a delicious McDouble with extra lettuce and Big Mac Sauce. Perfection.
-
(#3) Apple Pie a la Mode
Why stick with one dessert when you can have two? Make sure you always order a vanilla soft serve cone with your baked apple pies for a treat worthy of a much more expensive restaurant. Or better yet, mash it all together for the most delicious apple pie ice cream sundae you've ever had.
-
(#8) McG*ngB*ng
Tracing its origins back to Daytona Beach (of course this monstrosity came from Florida), the McGangBang- as it's colorfully known- is achieved by stuffing a Dollar Menu chicken sandwich into a double cheeseburger.
The result is a massive sandwich that costs about $2. Gives new meaning to more bang for your buck.
-
(#9) McKinley Mac
A Big Mac with Quarter Pounder patties, the McKinley Mac will make you feel powerful like the former US President (or maybe full and satisfied was his deal; who knows?). If you're up for a meaty treat, ask your McD server for this special order burger that's almost as majestic as the highest peak in North America (it's Mount McKinley, in case you're playing at home).
-
(#10) Mc10:35
The most incredible brunch sandwich known to man is this combination of breakfast and lunch burger goodness. First, arrive at McDonald's during that fleeting window when both the breakfast menu and lunch menu are served (usually only between 10:30 and 11:00am).
Then, order both a McDouble and an Egg McMuffin. Combine and enjoy.
-
(#11) Mega Potato
It's not a secret so much as it is a tease, but in Japan - for a limited time - you can order the McDonald's Mega Potato, a giant 1100+ calorie extravaganza of french fries equivalent to two American-sized large fries orders. No word on whether the Japanese are attempting to take down this calorie-laden serving solo or if they're sharing the giant serving as it's intended.
-
(#16) Animal Style McCheese Fries
In 'N' Out ain't the only place to get wild on your cheese fries. As for an extra side of Big Mac sauce when your order your Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger, then add cheese and onions (from your burger), and the sauce to your fries. Boom. Animal-style perfection, without driving to California.
-
(#17) The Brunch Burger
Want the fatty goodness of an egg, but also the savory lunchy-ness of a double cheeseburger? Create your own bunch burger by taking the egg from an Egg McMuffin and layering it on to your Daily Double or Quarter Pounder. Feel free to throw some hash browns in there too.
Just make sure you order in that magic half-hour between 10:30 and 11 AM.
-
(#18) Fries With Big Mac Sauce
The secret sauce you can't get enough of in the Big Mac, now all over your fries. Somewhere between Americans' affinity for ketchup and Europeans' strange propensity to dip everything in mayo (or aoili when they try and fancy their dippin' blob up) comes the fascinating combination of Mac sauce and fries. Ooh la la! -
(#20) Filet-O-Fish and Chips
You already order your Filet-O-Fish with a side of fries, but you can take the whole thing a step further by adding those "chips" to your sandwich. For an even better bite, get there at 10:35, when both breakfast and lunch are served, and add hash browns for an bigger crunch. Obviously you'll still want a side of fries.
-
(#21) Chicken and waffles
You may know Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles as the leader in combining breakfast foods and fried deliciousness, but do they have a McGriddle sandwich with chicken in the middle? No, no they do not. This is something you can only find under the golden arches and there is no better way to start (or end) the day. -
(#22) Biscuits and gravy
If you're in the South, this is a fast food must-have. The McDonald's biscuits and gravy are a breakfast treat that will make you curse your local McD's should you just be visiting a restaurant that serves these creamy gems. If you're feeling real rowdy, see what other menu items you can get them to add gravy to.
Face it, one of those egg white McMuffins would be about 100x more delicious with some gravy oozing out the sides.
-
(#28) Monster Mac
If replacing the standard Big Mac patties with Quarter Pounder slabs to make a McKinley Mac wasn't enough for you, prepare yourself for the Monster Mac! Eight pieces of Mac meat make up this fast food monstrosity that probably contains more calories than would be advisable to consume in a week, let alone in one burger.
As a heads up, make sure to stretch properly before attempting this burger behemoth.
-
(#33) Land, Sea & Air Burger
Combine a beef, chicken AND Filet-O-Fish patty between one very strained bun and you've got a burger with dead animals from all walks of life! It sounds like a little bit of overkill, but once you have this animal party happening in your mouth, you're never going to go back to a world where suckers only eat one kind of animal at a time.
-
(#34) Bulletproof McCafe
You've heard of the Bulletproof (coffee + butter) trend taking the foodie world by storm? Make your own with McDonald's admittedly excellent brew. Just ask for a few butter packets when you order morning cup, and stir it up. Close enough, right?
