  • He Allegedly Bought A Multi-Million Pound Mansion While On Illicit Substances on Random Hard-To-Believe But Shockingly Plausible Stories About Mick Jagger

(#3) He Allegedly Bought A Multi-Million Pound Mansion While On Illicit Substances

Stargroves is a massive estate in Hampshire, England, built in the mid-1800s. Sitting on some 850 acres of land, the sprawling Victorian property was purchased by Mick Jagger in 1970, while he was tripping on LSD, according to a manuscript that publisher John Blake claimed is a memoir written by Jagger. The story goes that Jagger was high on acid while touring the property, and he suddenly climbed on top of a horse. Oh, and he had never been on a horse before.

The horse bucked and reared, but Jagger calmed it before casually deciding to buy the mansion.

  • Keith Richards Insulted His Manhood, And He Demanded An Apology on Random Hard-To-Believe But Shockingly Plausible Stories About Mick Jagger

(#12) Keith Richards Insulted His Manhood, And He Demanded An Apology

Legendary playboy that he is, Mick Jagger did not take too kindly to remarks made by Keith Richards in his 2010 autobiography Life, that suggested the singer had a, let's say, short mic stand. Richards wrote: "Marianne Faithfull had no fun with his tiny todger. I know he’s got an enormous pair of balls, but it doesn’t quite fill the gap."

So infuriated was Jagger, he made Richards apologize as a prerequisite for the band ever touring again. The two eventually made nice and kicked off their "50 & Counting" tour in 2012.

  • The Counterculture Figurehead Admires Margaret Thatcher on Random Hard-To-Believe But Shockingly Plausible Stories About Mick Jagger

(#7) The Counterculture Figurehead Admires Margaret Thatcher

Mick Jagger, archetype of '60s counterculture and a man who once called himself an anarchist, is actually... a conservative? In 2015, the legendary hedonist admitted, "I am conservative with a small c. It is possible to be conservative in fiscal policy and tolerant on moral issues or questions of freedom of expression."

Jagger, who was knighted in 2002, also spent some time with conservative British PM Margaret Thatcher in the '80s, and was said to be impressed that she "didn't change for anyone."

  • He Played A Set At Altamont While Someone Was Stabbed To Death on Random Hard-To-Believe But Shockingly Plausible Stories About Mick Jagger

(#11) He Played A Set At Altamont While Someone Was Stabbed To Death

The Altamont Speedway Free Festival was a 1969 concert in northern California that is mostly known for its violence, including several deaths. The festival, which aimed to be a "Woodstock of the West," featured big acts like Santana, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and the Rolling Stones.

The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club provided security for the event. The Rolling Stones were set to perform last – at sundown – and from the moment they arrived, things looked grim.

Upon exiting the band's helicopter, Mick Jagger was immediately punched in the face by a fan, and when they took the stage violence erupted throughout the crowd. Jagger tried to calm everyone down, and the band played through several stops, partially out of fear of what would happen if they stopped playing.

After about a 90-minute set, the band left the stage completely unaware that 18-year-old Meredith Hunter had been stabbed to death by the Hells Angels mere feet from where they played.

  • He Reportedly Had An Affair With Donald Trump's Girlfriend on Random Hard-To-Believe But Shockingly Plausible Stories About Mick Jagger

(#1) He Reportedly Had An Affair With Donald Trump's Girlfriend

Carla Bruni, wife of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, had a prolonged dalliance with Mick Jagger in the early '90s. When the two met, he was still with Jerry Hall, and she was dating Eric Clapton, who allegedly begged Jagger to not go after her. Bruni, who was a model at the time, reportedly became rapt with Jagger and the two carried on a lengthy affair. It continued even after she moved on to another relationship, one with Donald Trump, who later became the President of the United States.

Trump would later remark Bruni was "desperately stuck" on Jagger, and that her affections likely caused the two to split up. Whether or not Bruni and Jagger still speak is a mystery, but at some point in the mid-2000s, Nicolas Sarkozy turned down a Paris apartment for himself and his wife, allegedly over concerns about the next door neighbor: Mick Jagger.

  • He Probably Had An Affair With David Bowie on Random Hard-To-Believe But Shockingly Plausible Stories About Mick Jagger

(#8) He Probably Had An Affair With David Bowie

In the early '70s, Mick Jagger and David Bowie - brilliant musicians and showmen at the forefront of rockstar androgyny - made for a uniquely cool pairing. Bowie's then-wife, Angie, was not too enthralled with their friendship, however, especially after she caught them in bed together, according to biographer Christopher Andersen

Andersen wrote that Angie Bowie returned to the couple's London home after a couple of days out of town, and a maid tipped her off that there was someone in her bed. When she went upstairs to investigate, she opened the door to find her husband in bed with Mick Jagger, both men lacking clothing.

Jagger and Bowie would go on to have a close relationship that lasted years.
