  Jimmy Fallon and Sean Hayes, who appear to be Stefon’s brothers from another mother, are playing two snotty clothing store clerks. When they make an invisible square around themselves in unison to to demonstrate an “invisi-square” early in the sketch, Fallon breaks. 

  But it’s Ferrell’s entrance on a scooter than takes Fallon out for good. Ferrell’s tiny phone does both Hayes and Ferrell in and also takes himself out.

  In this Valentine’s Day tips segment on "Weekend Update," Bill Hader’s Stefon cracks himself up as usual. Breaking himself up was always part of this bit. Here, Stefon loses it at "Jewpids."

  Will Ferrell’s Jacob Slij could not modulate his voice. Ferrell does all of the things to avoid breaking, but break he does. Tina Fey, who was head writer at the time, is in the bit with him and he actually takes her with him at the end of the clip.

  As two totally bonkers, awesome, and nasally weirdo game show models, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph are so over the top in this game show sketch, they break Bill Hader nearly in half. When they have to handle a chicken, it's the beginning of the end.

  But it's when Wiig goes berserk on a golf cart, that the whole sketch delightfully derails. Hader goes with them. Vanesa Bayer totally wins because she never once breaks. She's a robot.

  (#1) Behind the Music (More Cowbell)

  Will Ferrell was also a master at making other cast members break. Ferrell’s fictional member of Blue Öyster Cult playing cowbell ends up totally crushing Jimmy Fallon with his Ferrell-ness. At first, the other castmates Mario Lopez, Chris Parnell, and Chris Kattan, hang in there but Fallon goes down once he and Ferrell are face to face. Ferrell falls on his own comedy sword.

  Eddie Murphy was so on fire during his Saturday Night Live days that not even a hot tub could douse his flames. His only foil was himself. It’s a small moment but Murphy cracks himself up in the middle of this classic sketch.
