About This Tool

When you choose to sacrifice the environment in exchange for economic benefits, you should know that nature will not always accommodate you. The United States Environmental Protection Agency set up its Superfund website in 1980 under the Comprehensive Environmental Response and the compensation and Liability Act. Twenty-three brownfields in Utah are also on the list, and detailed data can be found through the generator tool.

Each of these sites is listed on the Superfund’s website as a result of environmental sacrifices made by companies or governments to grow the economy. When you look at these sites at random, you can find a detailed CERCLIS ID for each brownfield, a complete list, County, cause of contamination, Proposed Date, Listed Date, and more. Fortunately, a few contaminated plots have been well managed and removed from the Superfund’s website.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Superfund sites in Utah.
