  • (#3) Die Another Day

    • Madonna, Halle Berry, Pierce Brosnan, John Cleese, Judi Dench, Rosamund Pike, Michael Madsen, Toby Stephens, Samantha Bond, Colin Salmon, Rick Yune, Will Yun Lee, Kenneth Tsang, Michael G. Wilson, Rachel Grant, Paul Darrow, Simón Andreu, Wendy Leech, Trevor White, Nina Armstrong, Rocky Taylor, Deborah Moore, Emilio Echevarría, Mikhail Gorevoy, David Decio, Joaquin Martinez, Lawrence Makoare, Thomas Ho, Mark Dymond, Catherine Porter, Christine Hewett, Oliver Skeete, Ho Yi, Cristina Contes, Stewart Scudamore, Stuart Ong, Tatiana Lavrentieva, Lea Jerova, Alan Bond, Gerard Naprous, Sherry Stone, Ian Pirie, Daryl Kwan, Aiko Horiuchi, Manolo Caro, James Wallace, Anna Edwards, Bill Nash, Sarllya, Lucas Hare, Ben Wee, Justin Llewelyn, Vincent Wong, Stephanie Burns, Christopher Schönning, Lynne Hazelden

What Happens In The Movie: A baddie from North Korea has his DNA replaced so he can masquerade as a British mogul.

Why It’s Ridiculous: You have DNA in every cell in your body. Changing all of that is simply impossible. Oh, sure, they gave some explanation about how the doctors killed off all the bone marrow so it can be replaced… but that would just kill you.

What Should Have Happened: The bad guy would have died in the hospital, and the doctor who swindled him would have ran off with all his money. Pierce Brosnan would have stayed home, and we would have all been saved a lackluster Halle Berry performance.

  • (#8) Lucy

    • Scarlett Johansson, Morgan Freeman, Analeigh Tipton, Amr Waked, Choi Min-sik, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Johan Philip Asbæk, Loic Brabant, Pascal Loison, Luca Angeletti, Jan Oliver Schroeder, Pierre Poirot, Nicolas Phongpheth, Bertrand Quoniam, Pierre Grammont

What Happens In The Movie: A woman gets an overdose of a drug that unlocks the full potential of her brain, giving her superpowers as she accesses all 100% of her mind.

Why It’s Ridiculous: You use all of your brain to do even simple tasks such as turning on a coffee pot. It’s all being used, just in different parts. Trying to use 100% of your brain to do something would probably leave you catatonic. It would be like using 100% of your body to text.

What Should Have Happened: There wouldn’t have been a drug to unlock more of your brain. Lucy would have been a normal drugs mule and likely would have died from an overdose when a balloon full of heroin popped in her lower intestine.

  • (#10) The Matrix

    • Keanu Reeves, Hugo Weaving, Carrie-Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne, Gloria Foster, Ada Nicodemou, Rana Morrison, Robert Taylor, Belinda McClory, Matt Doran, Bill Young, Marcus Chong, Paul Goddard, David Aston, Anthony Ray Parker, Julian Arahanga, Steve Dodd, Marc Gray, Nigel Harbach, Tamara Brown, Harry Lawrence, Robert Simper, Natalie Tjen, Chris Pattinson, Fiona Johnson, Rowan Witt, Bernard Ledger, Lawrence Woodward, Denni Gordon, Adryn White, Luke Quinton, Jeremy Ball, Janaya Pender, Michael Butcher, Eleanor Witt, David O'Connor

What Happens In The Movie: After a war between humans and machines left the skies perpetually cloudy, machines grow humans to use as batteries.

Why It’s Ridiculous: Humans really don’t produce that much heat and electricity. In fact, it would be far more costly to create the conditions and nourishment required to keep the humans alive.

What Should Have Happened: The machines should have invested in nuclear power, hydroelectric power, and wind. Who knows? With some time and ingenuity they could have created sustainable fusion, instead of wasting all their processing power on rendering Hugo Weaving's face over and over.

  • (#15) Star Wars

    • Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, Alec Guinness, Peter Cushing, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, David Prowse, Anthony Daniels, Denis Lawson, Don Henderson, Phil Brown, Richard LeParmentier, Eddie Byrne, Jack Purvis, Alex McCrindle, Shelagh Fraser, Paul Blake, Steve 'Spaz' Williams, Larry Ward

What Happens In The Movie: From Tatooine to Coruscant, every planet in the Star Wars universe has only one type of climate.

Why It’s Ridiculous: While we can buy a desert or ice planet (after all, Mars and Neptune are perfect examples), a moon like Endor wouldn’t be completely covered in forests. If you look at Naboo from orbit, for example, there are no desserts or polar regions whatsoever. It's highly unlikely that so many planets would only have one biome

What Should Have Happened: Our heroes should have come to planets which much more varied climates. depending on their location in relation to equators or the poles. Also, Yoda could have probably taken a beach vacation of two. There's no way Dagobah would be all swamps.

  • (#13) The Dark Knight Rises

    • Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Modine, Ben Mendelsohn, Juno Temple, Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Nestor Carbonell, Aidan Gillen

What Happens In The Movie: Batman safely flies an improvised nuclear explosive out of Gotham two minutes before it explodes. No one is hurt, and Gotham is totally fine.

Why It’s Ridiculous: Even with a hi-tech Bat-Copter, it’s highly unlikely that Batman could have gotten the bomb out to the minimum safe distance of 10 miles. Even assuming he had, Gotham would have had to deal with a lot of complications from the following radiation. Just ask the people of Chernobyl

What Should Have Happened: The bomb would have detonated too close to Gotham, destroying some or all of it. And even if it wasn’t caught in the initial blast, many in the city would have dealt with radiation poisoning for generations to come. Batman would likely be remembered as the vigilante who destroyed one of America's biggest cities.

  • (#5) Total Recall

    • Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone, Michael Ironside, Dean Norris, Rachel Ticotin, Ronny Cox, Anne Lockhart, Robert Costanzo, Ray Baker, Marshall Bell, Rosemary Dunsmore, Debbie Lee Carrington, Roy Brocksmith, Marc Alaimo, Alexia Robinson, Mark Carlton, Michael Champion, David Knell, Mel Johnson, Jr.

What Happens In The Movie: Any time someone goes out in the surface of Mars without a space suit, they expand like they’re about to blow up. Many other movies are guilty of this trick.

Why It’s Ridiculous: Explosive decompression is a myth. As is the myth that you’ll instantly freeze in a vacuum (or low atmosphere) out in space. You get about 15-30 seconds of consciousness (depending on if you were smart enough to exhale) to freak out about your impending death while the oxygen in your blood is sucked out through your lungs. The pressure difference gives you case of the bends so bad, your lungs rupture. Your exposed tissues get what is essentially horrific sunburn as all the water in your skin begins to spontaneously evaporate.

What Should Have Happened: As people were exposed to the surface of Mars, they would get frostbite around their nose, eyes, and mouth, and begin the symptoms of hypoxia within the first few minutes. At that point, their brain and heart would still technically be working, so they'd have about 90 seconds for someone to save them. After that, their blood pressure would drop so low that the blood would literally begin to boil. After that, it would be game over.
