About This Tool

Lycian was in many ways an archaeological wonderland. Even in Turkey, a country rich in well preserved ancient ruins, the region is known for its rich and evocative ancient ruins, set in a very beautiful Mediterranean landscape. Lycian is probably the most mysterious ancient landscape of our travels. For those accustomed to the ruins of Greece, Italy, or western Turkey, it is an interesting combination of very familiar features and extremely strange features -- in other words, it keeps us on our toes!

The random generator tool collates 163 entries and records the names of places in different parts of Lycian. We are familiar with Telmessus, Termera, Sidake, Pinara, Oenoanda, Milias, etc.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Lycian place names.
