  • Awaking III Leaves on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#8) Awaking III Leaves

To use Awaking III Leaves properly, Mitsuba Higashikata needs to have some serious math and physics skills. This means that for JoJo fans who aren't mathematically inclined, the Stand might be pretty hard to track. It's able to manipulate vector space by generating arrows that move energy in the direction they're pointing towards. This can be useful for a lot of reasons, from physical attacks to expelling foreign objects - in fact, when the arrows are placed on a person, anything inside that person that isn't native to their body will be forced out. The arrows can also be stacked on top of one another to multiply the force behind them.

  • Tusk ACT IV on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#4) Tusk ACT IV

Johnny Joestar's Stand, Tusk, has several different forms known as ACTS. While some of them are pretty straightforward, ACT IV is not. To use this Stand, Johnny has his horse run in its "natural state" which somehow achieves the Golden Spin - infinite rotational energy. By combining this energy with Tusk, Johnny is able to control this energy. Whatever Tusk ACT IV touches will be unable to stop spinning until it's completely destroyed. Apparently, when they disintegrate, they're also sent to another direction. The spinning can't be stopped through any means until this happens - even switching bodies or dimension-hopping isn't enough to do the job.

  • Gold Experience Requiem on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#5) Gold Experience Requiem

Just because Giorno Giovanna is a protagonist doesn't mean that his Stand is straightforward!

Gold Experience Requiem is a Requiem Stand, which means that it's an evolved form of Gold Experience. Just like the original, it's capable of creating a stunning of lifeforms: turning a piece of luggage into a frog, generating functional human organs, and more. The confusing part comes with the new power Return to Zero.

Return to Zero nullifies any action or intention back to 'zero' thus preventing it from ever having happened in the first place. For this reason, GER is nearly impossible to defeat. Anyone who loses their life to it will experience a never-ending loop of repeated deaths. That's the gruesome fate that Diavolo meets with.

  • Sky High on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#6) Sky High

One of Dio's sons, Rikiel, is the owner of the incredibly convoluted Stand, Sky High. Through a beetle-frog hybrid attached to his wrist, Rikiel can control Rods, see-through cryptids that feed on body heat. Using the Rods, Rikiel can create localized illnesses in his target. He does this by directing the Rods to suck heat out of a specific body part, making them more prone to illness and dysfunction. These effects can include forcing a person's eyelids shut and blinding them, destroying their muscles, or even attacking their brainstem.

The biggest drawback of Sky High is that before Rikiel could use it effectively, he was subject to the same Rod-related health issues. But they can also impact his body in positive ways - they can numb the nerves in his neck to help him avoid feeling pain and keep fighting for longer periods of time.

  • Weather Report on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#10) Weather Report

Weather Report would be easy enough to understand if it were restricted to its main ability - controlling the weather. By manipulating the atmosphere around it, this Stand can create wind, rain, or lightning at will. It can also increase air resistance, creating defensive barriers to protect its user, who is also named Weather Report.

But Weather Report has an additional ability called Heavy Weather, which is one of the most bizarre things in the whole series. By generating rainbows, Weather Report is somehow able to hypnotize its targets into believing that they are snails. This would be weird enough, but that belief somehow leads them to actually transform into snails. How does this work? Nobody knows.

  • Dragon's Dream on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#2) Dragon's Dream

Kenzou's Stand, Dragon's Dream, doesn't actually do any fighting itself. Rather, it draws on the principles of Feng Shui to point to lucky and unlucky spots that he can exploit to make it more likely that he'll be able to defeat his opponents. Once a spot has been identified, he can enter the space inside the ring and use it to teleport his limbs to the spot of his choosing.

But Dragon's Dream doesn't actually care if Kenzou wins or loses. While the information it provides is often to his advantage, his opponents can also use it to predict his movements once they figure out the pattern. Dragon Dream is a useful tool, but one that can also easily be turned against its user.
