(#11) She-Hulk Tore The Vision Apart
During Brian Michael Bendis's "Avengers Disassembled" storyline, Vision is taken over by Ultron (or so we think!) and attacks his teammates. After constantly being under attack since Disassembled started, She-Hulk freaks out, goes savage, and rips Vision in half, killing him.
(#6) Vision Blows Himself Up to Stop Grim Reaper

During the Chaos War, deceased Avengers were brought back to life to fight villains like Grim Reaper and Nekra. Vision, one of the resurrected heroes, decided to sacrifice himself by self-detonating and taking out Grim Reaper. Although he has lost his second chance at life, Vision decides that the most human thing he can do is die.

In doing this, he has finally gained the humanity he has always longed for.
(#19) Marvel Zombies Vision Has it Rough
In the Marvel Zombie universe, Vision doesn't make out much better than the other heroes. In this universe, the Vision has been dismantled and is used as Zombie Kingpin's communication device. However, the character still harbors a strong love for the zombified Scarlet Witch.
(#17) "Vision Quest" Made Him an Android Again
During John Byrne's run on the character in West Coast Avengers #42-45, Vision was dismantled by Immortus and laid out in pieces. Although Hank Pym did the best he could to reassemble him, Wonder Man refused to allow his brain patterns to be used once again for the android. This resulted in an emotionless android devoid of emotions.
(#16) The Vision Was Created from the Human Torch
No - not that Human Torch. We're talking about the original, Golden Age, version of the character (and not Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four). It was Ultron who originally forced the original Human Torch's creator, Phineas T. Horton, to construct Vision from the original android's parts. Later, confusing retcons of the characters history have Immortus using the Forever Crystal to split the Human Torch into two entities - one being the Vision.
(#18) The First Vision Was Created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby

Joe Simon and Jack Kirby were some of the hardest working comic creators back in the Golden Age in the 1940s. Back when Marvel Comics was still called Timely Comics, the creators invented a character who was an alien from an alternate dimension (Marvel Mystery Comics #13), though he bares little resemblance to the Vision that we all know and love. Still, Simon and Kirby were there first!
