(#6) Disneyland Has Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Like many of the classic Disney rides, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride seems silly on the surface, but contains some very dark undertones. The ride recreates The Wind in the Willows, and patrons tag along with an out-of-control driver who crashes into a library, nearly runs over a baker carrying pies, drives into a courthouse, meets a judge who finds him guilty, and eventually drives into Hell.
The whole thing is incredibly ridiculous, and is an absolutely essential part of any trip to Disneyland. It was one of the original rides at the park, and was initially also a feature of Disney World. However, while the Disneyland Mr. Toad is still around, the one at Disney World closed in 1998.

(#12) You Can See All Of Disneyland In One Day
The Disneyland Resort consists of two parks: the original Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. Both parks are right next to each other, so you can easily go from one to the other, and probably check out all the rides and attractions that you want to see in one day.
Meanwhile, Disney World is made up of four unique parks: the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. On the one hand, that means Disney World offers a little more variety than Disneyland, but if you want to see more than one park in a day, doing so will be more of a chore. Plus, the parks are scattered throughout the marshes of Orlando, so get ready to spend a good portion of your day waiting in line for the monorail.

(#14) At Disneyland, Churros Are Nearly Everywhere
It's hard to get people to agree on snacks, but pretty much everyone knows that the churro is one of the greatest culinary inventions of all time. If you find yourself fiending for some tasty cinnamon-dusted dough while visiting Disneyland, you're in luck. There are 13 different churro carts located inside the park, making them easily available from virtually any section of the establishment. There have even been Oreo churros available on some special occasions. In contrast to this, if you want a churro at Disney World, get ready to hunt. The pastries are only available at two locations, so you may need to go out of your way to fulfill your cinnamon craving. To make things worse, there's no fast pass to cut the churro line at Disney World, so you'd better hope that no one else is hungry for them.

(#5) Disneyland Has Walt Disney's Apartment
At Disneyland, visitors are given the opportunity to connect with Walt Disney himself via the Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps guided tour. Since Disneyland was the only Disney park that the creator ever set foot in, this tour takes attendees behind the scenes, and gives them the inside scoop on what it was like when Disney and his crew were first creating the park.
Disneyland also features the creator's secret apartment, which is located above the fire station. While the park was under construction, Disney would often stay there overnight while shuttling back and forth between Anaheim and Los Angeles. The only downside is that the apartment is no longer officially part of the tour.

On July 17, 1955, Walt Disney's dream of opening a theme park filled with magic and nostalgia came true. Disneyland opened in Anaheim, CA, and was an instant success. Disney took a hands-on approach to creating the park, and Disneyland is actually the only Disney park he ever set foot in. Disney World opened in 1971, half a decade after Disney passed away in 1966. The legacy of Disney's vision is one of the main reasons why it's hard for any of the other Disney parks to top the original.

One of the joys of going to a Disney park is getting to meet some of your favorite characters. If you can get a photo with them, that's even better. However, this feat is a little bit easier to accomplish at Disneyland. At the West coast park, characters are often found roaming about, waiting to be stopped by fans for pictures. Additionally, when characters set times for meet-and-greets, the lines are usually shorter at Disneyland.
