  Darth Vader was the epitome of evil throughout the original Star Wars trilogy, but as much as those movies were about Luke Skywalker ascending to become a Jedi, they were also about the path of redemption that turned Darth Vader back into the man he was. 

  After turning on his Master, Vader took in a ton of Force Lightning power. This left him dying on the ground, so Luke removed his helmet, and his father told him to tell his sister that he was right about him. Someone who turned to the Dark Side of the Force could be redeemed, and in the end, Luke saved Anakin in ways greater than Vader's move to save his son. Vader may have saved Luke from death, but it was Luke who saved his father's soul.

  (#20) General Armitage Hux

  "It was a coordinated incursion, Allegiant General. They overpowered the guards and forced me to take them to their ship."

  The line was uttered in desperation by General Hux shortly after he provided aid to the Resistance, which he did out of his hatred for Kylo Ren. This hatred began two movies earlier, and despite being in a high level of command in the First Order, he found himself working as an underling to an angry Force-user.

  Hux attempted to convince Allegiant General Pryde that he was merely the victim of "a coordinated incursion," but the General wasn't buying any of it. Without much preamble or thought, he quickly blasted Hux, executing him on the spot for treason.

  (#14) Snoke

  "You think you can turn him? Pathetic child... I cannot be betrayed... I cannot be beaten. I see his mind… I see his every intent. Yes... I see him turning the lightsaber to strike true! And now... foolish child... he ignites it... and KILLS HIS TRUE ENEMY!"

  The first two movies in the extended trilogy didn't go into much detail about Supreme Leader Snoke, but what was known was that he led the First Order, he was immensely powerful with the Dark Side of the Force, and he turned Ben Solo to become his underling, Kylo Ren.

  When he finally dies, he does so at the hands of his apprentice, but in such a way that he failed to see it coming. He essentially narrates his own death while he waits for Ren to kill Rey, what he's really doing is using the lightsaber next to Snoke to kill his true enemy, only Snoke didn't realize that was him.

  (#4) Admiral Ackbar

  "Torpedoes inbound! It's been an honor serving with you all."

  Throughout all of time and space, Admiral Ackbar will be remembered for uttering only three words, "It's a trap!" That line was his in Return of the Jedi, and many a meme were born that day. Of course, he didn't die in that film, having met his end two movies later in The Last Jedi.

  Ackbar was on the bridge with his fellow officers as Kylo Ren, and his Tie Fighter escorts attacked the command ship. Ren hesitated to fire into the bridge, which would have killed his mother, but a torpedo still managed to do the job. Leia survived, but Ackbar didn't, though he didn't hold off on delivering a truly honorable final line, which was a testament to his brilliant leadership qualities.

  (#17) Captain Raymus Antilles

  "We intercepted no transmissions. This is a consular ship. We're on a diplomatic mission."

  If there's one thing you can say about the poor, departed Captain Ramus Antilles, it's that he had some serious cajones. The man lied right to Darth Vader's face, and he earned something the Dark Lord of the Sith almost never did: physical contact. Vader is well-known for choking the life out of people, but he never grabs them and holds them up by one hand, but that's exactly what he did with Captain Antilles.

  Now, this scene always seemed like a great way to establish Vader's power, but now that Rogue One has shown just how Antilles piloted the Tantavie IV with the Death Star plans away from Vader, it's clear he was full of it. He had just barely escaped from Vader only moments before, and here he is trying to convince him that it's a consular ship on a diplomatic mission. Vader wasn't buying any of that!

  (#13) General Grievous

  "Army or not, you must realize... you are doomed!"

  General Grevious was certainly full of himself when he engaged in combat with Obi-Wan Kenobi. After all, he had killed several Jedi, which is how he got his hands on four lightsabers, but he wasn't up against an apprentice, he was facing one of the most powerful Force-users in the galaxy.

  Still, he showed his confidence by decrying Obi-Wan's doom with the above line. It didn't keep the Jedi from proving him wrong, by destroying the only organic bits the General still possessed. This left him dead on the floor, and Obi-Wan remarked how he really didn't like the brutality of blasters, despite using one to end the General only moments before.
