(#15) Ed Sheeran's Cameo Was So Detested That They Killed Him Off
When pop singer Ed Sheeran made an appearnace as a passing Lannister soldier in the Season 7 premiere, fans were not exactly happy. In fact, the response was so strong that Sheeran felt the need to address it, saying, "I definitely think they should've killed me off in the episode. I reckon that probably would've been the redemption for the people that didn't like it."
Sheeran got his wish. During the Season 8 premiere, Bronn makes small talk while visiting the brothel. The women he is with offhandedly mention a "ginger" called "Eddie" who "came back with his face burned off."

If things don't work out for Littlefinger in Westeros, he could make a go of it as a fortune teller. While trying to console Robin Arryn after his mom got dropped like a bad habit out the Moon Door, Littlefinger says, "People die at their dinner tables, they die in their beds, they die squatting over their chamber pots. Everyone dies, sooner or later." In that one sentence he predicted the deaths of King Joffrey, Shae and Tywin Lannister.

Considering how much the siblings loathe each other, it's kind of ironic that Cersei and Tyrion shared the same bedroom in King's Landing. When Tyrion lived there, the same set was used for both bedrooms, they were just dressed differently. -
(#25) Joffrey's Sword Almost Got a Famous Name
When Joffrey is presented with a wedding present of Valyrian steel, courtiers shout out suggestions. One was "Stormbringer," which is the name of the sword wielded by the albino emperor in author Michael Moorcock's fantasy books. Another suggestion was "Terminus," and Terminus Est is the name of the executioner's blade carried by Severian in the 1980s series The Book of the New Sun. In the end, Joffrey went with "Widow's Wail" but didn't get to use his new gift for long anyway.
