Original Disneyland Costumes
[ranking: 5]
Something you can't really unsee is how disturbing the opening day Disneyland walkabout character costumes were. Most people know that in general, vintage costumes walk the weird line between scary-looking masks and a kind of uncanny valley that make the costumes eerie.
The original Mickey and Minnie Mouse costumes are the stuff of nightmares. The pair had these horrible holes on the undersides of their face, and just looking at them even in pictures is just jarring.
If you really want to be scarred, here's a whole gallery of terrifying walkabout costumes from the early days of Disneyland.
Zootopia Furlife
[ranking: 1]
Furries really do change your perspective on everything. This has never been more true than when Zootopia was released. Disney has already been called out for inspiring an entire generation of furries by making their eponymous Robin Hood character an attractive, charming, charismatic fox.
And ever since the film came out, NSFW pictures of Zootopia characters have flooded the internet.
Right-Wing Donald Duck
[ranking: 7]
The right-wing Donald Duck video is meant to be satirical. It's an eight-minute short best left in the archives of Disney history, even though it is meant - in a roundabout way - to be an expression of patriotism.
Dirty Disney Confessions
[ranking: 2]
There are no real words to describe the Dirty Disney Confessions tumblr. Be warned: if you visit this blog, you can't unsee it. DDC is a tumblr that features various "confessions" written as short-form desires next to screencaps of Disney characters they want to get down and "dirty" with. The tumblr goes on to feature a smattering of characters being ravaged in the bedroom, and sometimes, it's them that's doing the ravaging. You'll never see Disney characters in the same way again.
Disney Out Of Context
[ranking: 11]
If you Google "Disney Out Of Context," then you're barking up the correct tree if you truly love Disney and also have a kind of "twisted" sense of dark humor. The first result should be the subreddit by that very same name, /r/disneyoutofcontext. Most of the image macros are Twitter appropriations of popular Disney GIFs with inappropriate subtitles and captions.
Mouse Mingle
[ranking: 10]
Have you heard of "Mouse Mingle?" It is exactly what you think it is. Here's their logline: "MouseMingle.com is the place to connect people who love Disney and who want that same magic in their relationship." And if you're wondering what else the site has to offer, they elaborate farther down the page: "MouseMingle.com is dedicated to Disney fans. Traditional Internet dating sites don't understand the passion people have for all things Disney. But we do."
