Three years later, a French con man by the name of Frédéric Bourdin was flown to the United States by Spanish officials after having taken on Barclay's identity. Despite the many physical differences between Barclay and Bourdin, Bourdin fooled officials and even the boy's own family. Once in the United States, Bourdin lived with Barclay's family for almost five full months before being found out.

  This 2012 documentary tells the strange story of exactly how Bourdin was able to pull off the intricacies involved in such extreme deceit, not just once, but hundreds of times. Soon after the raid, McAfee went into hiding after his neighbor Greg Faull was slain.

  Entrepreneur Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule invited Instagram celebrities to participate in a festival designed to promote their booking app, Fyre. The festival was to take place in the Bahamas. Available tickets were already 95% sold within 48 hours of release, which left McFarland with just 8 weeks to put together what was meant to be an incredibly lavish festival. Fyre Festival's promotion video, which showed supermodel-filled yachts, had ticketholders believing they could expect to party with the world's most beautiful people, all while being treated to the finest accommodations.

  McFarland didn't deliver, to put it mildly. Festivalgoers arrived to find themselves asked to sleep on rain-soaked mattresses in tents, and served cheese sandwiches in polystyrene containers. This 2019 documentary presents in frustrating detail how it wasn't just the affluent patrons who were duped, but the local Bahamanian contractors, as well.   In 2015, HBO released this series about Robert Durst, who was alleged to have committed three separate murders. One alleged victim was Kathie Durst, Durst's own wife. Durst was also accused of slaying his friend, writer Susan Berman, and his neighbor, Morris Black. The series' director, Andrew Jarecki, had previously produced a film based on Durst's life. Durst, a fan of the film, contacted Jarecki, who arranged meetings to talk.

  The family eventually got Jan back, only to be convinced by Berchtold to drop the charges against him. Berchtold was then able to utilize his charm and apparent sex appeal to lull the family into a false sense of security - resulting in Berchtold taking Jan a second time. Watch this documentary to decide for yourself whether little Jan Broberg's family members were extremely naive or whether they just had a lot to hide.
