If there's one thing #BachelorNation loves, it's when a couple conquers a fear together and emerges stronger for it. In Bachelor world, "conquering a fear" can be anything from bungee jumping to rock climbing, and the risky situations supposedly speed up the process of falling in love. According to psychologist Dr. Diana Kirschner, “Doing very, very high-octane kinds of dates definitely can bond you together more than a mundane, run-of-the-mill one."
These dates also lead to a lot of metaphors likening the date at hand to falling in love. When Ben and Lindzi repelled off a cliff, she said, "It’s a lot like stepping into a relationship. Things get tough, people get scared. You got to be there for each other, just like rappelling off a cliff." When Des and Brooks climbed a mountain, she declared, "We didn’t just break through the clouds, we had a break through in our relationship." Andi called her rappelling date a "leap-of-faith day."

The whole point of The Bachelor/ette is to find love and get married, so it makes sense that weddings are a regular conversation topic. That also means weddings sometimes come into play on dates.
On JoJo's season of The Bachelorette, the guys on one group date even had to craft actual proposals and then get down on one knee in front of everybody.

There's nothing like a guest appearance on The Bachelor to add that special something to a date.
The Backstreet Boys popped in for an episode when they were promoting their reunion tour, and Lil Jon inexplicably DJed the soundtrack to Becca's date with Blake.

The shopping spree date is one of the most coveted date activities in The Bachelor universe because it involves getting pampered beyond belief with clothes, shoes, and even jewelry. On Arie's season, Becca K. took home a closet-full of Rachel Zoe clothing and Neil Lane diamonds.
On Nick's season, contestant Corinne flipped the roles on her hometown date in Miami and treated Nick to an "average day" shopping with her. The two racked up a $3,423 bill.
