About This Tool
Because of its unique geographical environment and climate, Sri Lanka has several cyclones every year. In 1978, Sri Lanka experienced the strongest tropical cyclone on record, the fourth such storm in the 2000 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, and the second strongest of all cyclones in the season. In addition, the random tool recorded a list of 13 additional cyclones that had also occurred in Sri Lanka for study by students and experts in meteorology.
These cyclones are not to be underestimated, many are favorable external environments and the rapid increase in wind speed can reach more than 100 kilometers per hour. The cyclone hit eastern Sri Lanka at its highest intensity, abating slightly as it crossed the island and then hitting Southern India, causing considerable damage to neighboring countries as well. The generator collates these cyclones, we can see the main number of each cyclone and the lowest pressure, but also to see the specific occurrence of time and reference cloud map.
Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Sri Lanka tropical cyclones.
