The 19th century entered the end of slavery in colonial America, many slaves began to resist and escaped the plantation.

Many abolitionists often appeal for the abolition of slavery through speeches and advertisements to encourage more slaves to fight for their rights. Some people even blatantly published advertisements in newspapers that they would provide help to escaped slaves.
