About This Tool

A total of 338226 of the Battle of Dunkirk withdrew from Dunkirk to Britain, of which about 215,000 were British, about 90,000 French and about 33,000 Belgian. Britain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands use 861 ships, including fishing boats, passenger ships, yachts and lifeboats and other small vessels. In just 10 days, this unprecedented “Dunkirk fleet” rescued 340,000 troops from the death trap, for the Allied counteroffensive after the preservation of a large number of living forces, to create a Second World War in the history of a miracle.

The tool randomly generated information about the 12 ships that had been evacuated that year, making it easy to view further. These ships were built at different times, using the most advanced shipbuilding technology in the world at the time, as well as the best marine engineers, and took a long time to build. But some ships had only just entered the war, and some had served for a long time. Some of the ships that were not evacuated in time could only be captured or destroyed.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of ships involved in the Dunkirk evacuation.
