About This Tool
“Protect America” is a U.S. government program created by President George Bush Bush to encourage and support community efforts to protect and enjoy the country’s cultural and natural heritage. As of 2017, more than 900 communities in 50 states representing Washington, D.C. , American Samoa and United States Virgin Islands have been designated “reserved American communities. ”. Designated communities are eligible to apply for United States Protected Area grants to promote heritage tourism and the use of community historic and cultural sites. The random tool compiled a list of 903 communities involved in protecting America.
The U.S. protected areas program is administered by the Historic Preservation Advisory Board and the Department of the Interior in conjunction with the U.S. agriculture, business, defense, education, housing and Urban Development, and Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China. In the generator, we can see that most of the major cities in most states are on the list of “protected areas” .
