About This Tool

The Conference on Disarmament, also known as the “Geneva Conference on Disarmament” , is currently the only global multilateral disarmament negotiating body. It is headquartered in Geneva and holds three sessions per year, the first of approximately 10 weeks and the second of seven weeks each. The United Kingdom is also a permanent member of The United Kingdom and an important member of The Western Bloc. The random tool compiles a list of 17 Permanent Representatives throughout history, most of whom have served in the past, many of whom have returned home.

Aidan Liddle, the Current Conference on Disarmament Representative, has been in the job since he took office in 2018, and the Generator Tool has logged the information in detail. The main topics of the conference are: Comprehensive Nuclear-test-ban Treaty, Nuclear Arms Race and Nuclear Disarmament, prevention of Nuclear War, prevention of a weapons race in outer space, prohibition of the production of fissile material, security assurances for non-nuclear-weapon states, transparency in armaments and control of anti-personnel mines.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Permanent Representatives of the United Kingdom to the Conference on Disarmament.
