People’s Century is a television documentary series examining the 20th Century. It is co produced by the BBC in the UK and WGBH Boston, a member of PBS in the US. The series was first broadcast on the BBC in 1995,1996 and 1997 during the television season, and then on the United States and other parts of the world in 1998.

People’s Century invited hundreds of key People who have witnessed the turn of the Century to talk about what they saw. A random tool compiles a list of 401 key characters for the documentary. The Generator Records key information about their occupation, witnessed events, and date of birth. This information is valuable for understanding history, witnessing development, and cherishing the good life today.
