About This Tool

The Pennsylvania Railroad is the main railway connecting the Atlantic coast to the Midwest. Construction began in 1846, running from Philadelphia and Harrisburg to Pittsburgh. The line between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh was completed at 1852. The railroad played a prominent role in transporting troops and equipment during the Civil War. The railroad developed rapidly after the war, and its development was facilitated by the communication of Philadelphia with Western Resources.

In 1952, the railroad was nearly 12,000 miles long, running through 13 states and operated by about 60 companies. Its predecessor consisted of 23 railway companies, all of which are currently recorded in random tool. And the specific information of these predecessor railways, including the time when they were built, the name of the railways, the specific geographical location and so on, are collected in the generator, so that people can quickly find out the correct information when looking for relevant information.
