About This Tool

Anyone who has experienced severe cold weather knows about snowstorms. Sometimes the weather forecast provides a good warning, but other times we are caught off guard by a sudden snowstorm. Some rare snowstorms are big enough to exceed all predictions, break all records, and wreak havoc. The storm was so terrible that it seemed to be a sign of a true winter outbreak.

In fact, meteorologists have developed a hurricane scale system to assess the severity of snowstorms. The northeast snow impact scale takes into account various factors and generates a number to indicate the severity of the storm. Numbers usually range from 1 to 10, sometimes higher. The 99 storms recorded by the random tool were recorded by NESIS and notified to the public in advance. Detailed information including the date of the storm, the NESIS scale, the type of storm and a brief description are stored in the generator to help meteorologists study the storm in greater depth.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Northeast Snowfall Impact Scale winter storms.
