About This Tool

We know that North and South Korea have never been able to coexist peacefully. Under South Korea’s national security law and coordinated by the South Korean Communications Standards Commission, which also monitors the Internet, they blocked 32 North Korean websites and blocked them. Most of the blocked sites have servers overseas and are listed in South Korea as encouraging and abetting groups against the country, the country’s telecoms ministry said.

North Korea’s web site is basically divided into media sites, North Korean stamps and banks and other commercial sites, and overseas nationals of some north Korea-related content of the site. Many of South Korea’s big media outlets have detailed coverage of North Korea. As the Ministry of Intelligence and Communications recently began blocking access to the programs, many South Koreans who had insisted on watching them also complained. The random tool builder collates the blocked North Korean sites, including their URL links, website names, and brief website descriptions.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of North Korean websites banned in South Korea.
