About This Tool

NGC (the new catalog of Nebulae and clusters) was the most extensive catalog of its time, covering the entire sky at-17.5 degrees declination, a limiting magnitude of about 16, professional photographic plates, and precise microscopic measurements. And it became a standard reference, although it was later supplemented and replaced by a specialized catalog, the new general catalog may still be the most widely used astronomical catalog after the restricted Messier object.

Cataloged objects include galaxies, Nebulae, open and closed star clusters, and globular clusters. The random tool generated 1004 items for the 1001-2000 NGC object inventory. This includes detailed information on NGC number, Other names, Object type, Constellation, Right ascension, and more. If you are interested in astronomy, be sure not to miss this detailed information.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of NGC objects (1001–2000).
