Nevada is a state in the western United States bounded by Oregon and Idaho in the North, Utah in the east, Arizona in the southeast, and California in the southwest. In 2010, the state had an area of 2,862,97km, ranking 7th in the 50 states. POPULATION: 2.7 million (2010). The capital, Carson City. The name comes from the Spanish word for “Snow Mountain. ”
