About This Tool

The Michigan Wolverines is a traditional division of the NCAA, playing in the Big Ten leagues. The wolverines have 27 different men’s and women’s teams competing in different sports. The wolverine-owned University of Michigan is the only American University in the top division to have won four Grand Slams (national championships in basketball, baseball, hockey and football) , its other sports, such as swimming, volleyball, football and track and field, are also excellent. Michigan Wolverines has become part of the University of Michigan’s campus culture.

The team played its first game in January 1909. On a per-game basis, the highest-scoring team in Michigan is the 1965/66 team led by Cazzie Russell, who averaged 91.9 points per game.
