About This Tool

Alpena is a port city in the US state of Michigan at the mouth of the Sudbury river into the Lake Huron River. Together with the Traverse City on the other side of the lower peninsula, it forms the two core cities of Bomi (north of the lower peninsula) . It is located in the eastern part of the lower peninsula and is called the Sunrise Side. It was originally formed in 1840 and was created by the geographer Henry Schoolcraft. It was officially built-in 1871. With an area of 23.9 square kilometers and an average elevation of 180 meters, Alpena had a population of 10,483 in 2010, with a population density of 473.9 people per square kilometer. The main industries are the production of cement, lime, logging, and fishing. There is the APINA Regional Airport (code-named APN), the only civilian airport east of North Missouri.

Route 23 cuts through the city and is marked by special landmarks as Alpena crosses 45 degrees north latitude, the midpoint of the Arctic to the Equator, it says, “Halfway between the Equator and the North Pole. ” The random tool generates 13 entries, including Alpenthouse County, Alpena City Hall, Joseph Bertrand House, Jesse Besser House, First Congregational Church, and others.
