About This Tool
In the playoffs, it’s home and away elimination. Until the final winner is decided. At the end of each short season, a team is relegated. The team with the lowest average score in the last three (opening + closing) seasons will be relegated to Division B. The top two players in each of the opening and closing seasons of the Mexican First Division can play in the central and North American Champions League. Excluding teams in the north and Central American Champions League, Mexico’s top first team in the opening season (year-end) and the top two in the Carling Cup qualify for the Copa Libertadores. Excluding teams from the North and Central American Champions League, the two teams with the highest points in Mexico’s closing season (early) can play in the South American Cup.
