About This Tool

After World War II, when the number of graduate students at Cambridge increased, the university decided to create a graduate school, and in 1963, three of Cambridge’s oldest and most powerful institutions, the Trinity College, the St John’s College, and Gonville and Case College joined forces to Create Darwin College (which opened in 1964) . Located in the heart of Cambridge at the junction of Newnham Rd and Silver St, and across the street from Queens’ College, Darwin was the first college to admit both men and women.
