About This Tool
Clare College, Cambridge, was founded at 1326 and received a generous donation from Edward I of England’s granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth. Carlisle College is best known for its choirs and back gardens. Carlisle is the most musical institution in Cambridge, with almost every student playing at least one instrument, the school’s Orchestra and singing team are often able to attract the best young music students from all over the UK. The political atmosphere at Carlisle is also very liberal, as it is the meeting place of Socialist Workers’ groups in Cambridge, where many students have historically been arrested for their political activities.
