About This Tool

The 1392, Taejo of Joseon, replaced the wangs in Goryeo. The capital of the Korean dynasty was founded in the capital of the Goryeo Dynasty, and the capital of the 1394 dynasty was established in Hanyang (now Seoul) . It was renamed Seoul the following year. 1398, after the first Prince rebellion, moved again to open the capital; 1400, after the second Prince rebellion, finally settled on Seoul. By the middle of the 15th century, the Kingdom of North Korea was roughly the size of north and South Korea combined, bounded by the Yalu and Tumen River Rivers.
