(#10) Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
- Constellation
The Tudor ruff, otherwise known as an Elizabethan collar, is the iconic disk-like collar seen on many famous portraits throughout history. Associated with aristocracy and monarchy, the collars signify a sense of authority - something that will certainly resonate with a modern Capricorn. Known for their discipline and managerial tendencies, Capricorn makes an excellent leader. Bringing back the Tudor ruff in all its finery echoes the traditional association with nobility and power, encompassing many of Capricorn’s defining traits. Only a sign this self-controlled could pull of such an outlandish fashion.
(#2) Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
- Constellation
Taurus, associated with the Bull, is known for being a stubborn sign. That's what makes them a perfect match for panniers, the wide skirts of the 18th century. Intended to accentuate a woman's hips, panniers are basket-like petticoats that sit on either side of the waist to create an exaggerated silhouette. Because they make the body so wide, they can make going through doors difficult. A less resolute sign might be inclined to simply refuse to wear them, but the Taurus, always determined, is one of the few signs who can reasonably make it work. Given their affinity for fine clothes, a Taurus could totally rock a modern spin on the pannier.
(#3) Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
- Constellation
Geminis are known for being gentle, but a little on the nervous side. Wearing chopines, a 16th century shoe, is the perfect mixture of daring and daintiness for today's Gemini. Originally invented to keep women's feet out of Venice's mucky, muddy streets, the shoes have high platforms that necessitate a light step, often with the assistance of others. Because Gemini can tend toward indecision and hesitation, chopines are a bold choice; they're unique enough that the tender Gemini stands out in a crowd, but not so much that all eyes are on them. To top it all off, the higher the shoe, the more likely the wearer is to need a companion - all the better reason to bring along a friend.
(#9) Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Bombasting refers to a substance rather than a fashion - it’s the material used to stuff the sleeves and legs of 16th century clothing. The fashion of the time had large, puffy sleeves and legs, which tended to create an impression of wealth as people looked bigger than they actually were, which was trendy for the time. This isn't unlike Sagittarius, who has a tendency to overpromise. While a Sag might have a great sense of humor, what you see isn’t always what you get with them. That can be a good thing - they’re great thinkers - and means you have to look a little bit deeper than with some other signs. Bombasting is the perfect historical trend to lean into their idealistic natures while also staying true to their nature to think a little bigger than they can actually achieve.
(#11) Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
- Constellation
The average Aquarius loves to be a little daring. For those looking to be a lot daring, there's Marie Antoinette-inspired hair styles. Though the infamous queen was herself a Scorpio, those wild hairstyles are all Aquarius. From including little figurines for social commentary purposes to piling hair incredibly high on the head, Antoinette's hair was always a statement piece. For Aquarius, extravagant hairstyles externalize their progressive and fun natures; they're always thinking forward and pushing the envelope a bit, especially from a humanitarian perspective. Why not use a fancy coiffure to raise awareness for the cause du jour?
(#8) Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
- Constellation
Scorpio is the zodiac sign most often associated with sexual passion; while other signs might brush up against it now and then, a voracious sexual appetite is often one of the core features associated with Scorpios. That’s why they’re such a good fit for the comeback of the codpiece - though secretive, Scorpios have the no-nonsense attitude needed to pull off such an ostentatious accessory without getting embarrassed. Codpieces are exactly what they look like; though they were originally for modesty purposes, they were later intended to draw attention to man’s crotch, particularly as the fashion of the era left little below the waist to the imagination. Modern Scorpio probably shouldn’t go as wild as they did back in the day, but if anybody can wear something as flashy as a codpiece, it’s a Scorpio.

About This Tool
History refers to the past events and activities of human society, as well as the acts of these events systematically recorded, studied and interpreted. History exists objectively. No matter how the writers write it, history exists in its own way and can not be changed.
It has three meanings: 1. The discipline of recording and interpreting historical events as a series of human processes; 2. The history of a country. The facts of the past. The problem with history is that it is a matter of discovering the real past, of using materials to make it possible to talk about people in the real world. History stretches. History is the heritage, accumulation and expansion of culture, which is the trajectory of human civilization.
