  A sexual assault lawsuit between actors is never a good sign for a TV show. When Tisha Campbell filed her lawsuit against Martin costar Martin Lawrence, it meant that the two could no longer film scenes together - which proved difficult, since their characters were love interests. The awkward filming and disjointed plot lines led to low viewership and eventual cancellation.

After multiple seasons of issues, Butler checked into rehab to address her addiction to pain killers, effectively ending Grace Under Fire.

  Golden Girls stars Betty White and Bea Arthur weren't friendly when the cameras stopped rolling. Arthur apparently couldn't stand White's positive attitude and even called White a "c*nt" at one point. Arthur decided to leave the show after Season 5, but producers managed to convince her to stay on for another two seasons before she split and the show was cancelled.

  (#5) Star Trek: William Shatner Took Over the Show

  William Shatner didn't have a single friend on the set of Star Trek. When other characters (namely, Leonard Nimoy's Spock) gained popularity or were given great storylines, Shatner couldn't handle it. He stole dialogue from other characters and even started a physical fight with Nimoy in fits of jealously. Cast members threatened to quit over his antics, like "bossing around and intimidating the directors and guest stars, cutting other actors’ lines and scenes and generally taking enough control to disrupt the sense of family we had shared," according to costar Nichelle Nichols.

  Actress Katherine Heigl's blunt way of speaking has gotten her into trouble in the past, but no where more so than the set of Grey's Anatomy. After a few seasons on the show, Heigl suspended her contract negotiations with ABC until they offered her a raise. She and show creator Shonda Rhimes had a few back-and-forth bad words in the press (Rhimes said, "I don’t put up with bullsh*t or nasty people. I don’t have time for it"), and Heigl did not end up renewing her contract, leaving her character's storyline without a clear ending.

  Sex and the City was a show about female friendship, but the behind-the-scenes reality was the total opposite. Costars Sarah Jessica Parker (main character Carrie) and Kim Cattrall (fan favorite Samantha) did not get along, which, according to Cinthia Nixon (Miranda), made production difficult. They all made it through the filming of the series, but tensions almost got the better of them when it came time for the series to make the jump to the big screen. Cattrall halted production on the first SATC film to hold out for more money; she believed she deserved to be making the same amount as Sarah Jessica Parker.
