  Most of the time, Gintama is all fun and laughs with its hilarious gags. But it's moments like this fight that prove how serious the show can be. After discovering Otose's unconscious body bleeding out on the ground, Gintoki releases a fury that has never been revealed before. Without wasting a breath, Gintoki immediately attacks Jirocho with his sword. The ensuing fight is quick yet brutal as Gintoki rages against Jirocho.

  This trope is actually one of Hatsuharu's defining character traits. Whenever he gets angry, a switch inside his mind is flipped, and he becomes 'Black Haru' - an aggressive and violent version of his normally cheerful self. This state is triggered multiple times throughout the series, leading him to wreck his classroom or start fights with Kyo, but the most dramatic moment comes in the manga. Be warned, there are spoilers ahead. 

  After Akito shoves Hatsuharu's girlfriend Rin off of a roof, he storms into Akito's room and threatens to end Akito's life. Considering the fact that Akito is - quite literally - the god that Hatsuharu and the rest of the Sohma family are welded to through love and obligation, as well as the person who controls every aspect of Haru's life, the fact that he's able to stand up to Akito, let alone threaten extreme violence, is incredible.

  Shichika Yasuri has been traveling and battling with Togame for ages - in fact, by the end of the series, he's fallen in love with her. So when she loses her life in a fight against Emonzaemon Sōda, Shichika doesn't know how to handle it. Though Togame told him to lead a peaceful existence without her, he cannot bring himself to do so.

  Instead, he approaches Emonzaemon for a battle, intending to use the fight as a means of suicide. He survives the battle and destroys the 12 swords he and Togame had dedicated their time to collecting.

  Perhaps the most satisfying scene in all of One Piece, Luffy punches the celestial dragon who shot Hachi. Celestial Dragons are the most powerful and wealthy individuals who control the World Government. The laws don't apply to them and no one ever dares to cross them. But Luffy does what no one else could do and punches a celestial dragon out of anger for his friend.

  During their fight in the Stohess District, Annie lands a heavy blow on Eren, making him unable to move. However, he remembers his yearning for revenge and reminds himself that he will stop at nothing to kill the Titans. This hatred awakens a new Titan mode within him, and he unleashes a violent rage on Annie. His berserk mode is so brutal that he has to stop himself from eating Annie.

  Obito's rage against the Hidden Mist ninjas remains one of the darkest scenes in the Naruto series. Ater witnessing Rin's death, Obito flies into a state of rage and grief, awakening his Mangekyo Sharingan. The Hidden Mist ninjas attack Obito, but his new Mangekyo makes him impossible to defeat. Obito mercilessly kills everyone in his sight until he's left in a forest of blood. It's a scene that is truly chilling and tragic.
